  5. Rinse 3 cups of rice in cold water. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot. Once the oil is hot add 1 1/2 cup of water, and 3 cups of rice. Let it boil until there's no more water, but rice is moist ( its very important rice is moist, so it can cook right). Then cover with lid and cook for 30 minutes.
